Every year, we curate films that matter and invite you to watch them with your community. 



That’s why we created Watch Party: a simple way to gather wherever you are and let films do the talking. Stream ALT EFF films in your space, on your terms, with our carefully chosen lineup.



We also provide a party-starter kit, exclusive filmmaker interviews, and sleek ALT EFF templates to get the conversation rolling. It’s an invitation, thoughtful, non-preachy, to talk about the big issues (cough couch, climate collapse) without jargon or judgement.

In this bucket of films, we nudge you to think about what activism means to you, and to give you some inspiration: here's what it looks like for people all over the world!

  • Anyone, anywhere. As long as you have internet access. Films are available to stream globally. Watch Parties can be hosted by individuals or by businesses.

  • If you’d like to, you can. As a business hosting a Watch Party, we suggest you keep the event free and instead meet a profit by selling food and beverage and hosting a marketplace.

  • As many as you like! You could host a Watch Party every day of the festival if you so please. Films are only available for streaming from December 4th - December 14th, 2025.

  • Unfortunately, no. But you can watch the trailers, read the synopsis and see the film posters to give you a good sense of the content. ALT EFF is renowned and trusted for our curatorial skills; you can trust us!

  • Absolutely! Bring in musicians, theatre, subject matter experts, or whatever else you think will enliven and enrich the event.
