Synopsis

From dancing frogs to camouflaged predators, each encounter reveals the intricate web of life in Amboli’s biodiversity hotspot. Local naturalists and herpetologists explore the relationship between people and forest inhabitants, through its lush monsoon forests, home to rare frogs, snakes, insects and flora. For all the naturalists out there.

From the filmmaker

Vana Bhashi, meaning Interpreters of Nature, was born from this belief. Rather than making wildlife the sole protagonist, the series explores the human stories behind conservation, documenting the lives, motivations, and challenges of the naturalists working across India's diverse landscapes. Through their perspectives, we hope audiences not only discover extraordinary ecosystems but also understand why they matter and why they deserve protection. It was through spending time with them that we realized conservation is ultimately about people.
