Synopsis

In Chandigarh’s planned streets, old trees have become the city’s living infrastructure, offering places to work, rest, eat, chat, and belong. Beneath their canopies, barbers, fruit sellers, gig workers, students, and passersby build everyday lives. Through these small worlds, the film reveals how trees nurture and contain urban life.

From the filmmaker

By making this film, we wanted to re-establish the broken connection between a human and a tree. To remind them of a forgotten friend. To make them see something hiding in plain sight. Or something that is being taken for granted. And emotionally, we want to make the viewer fall in love with the idea of a tree – to remind them of the feeling of magnificence that each and every one of us has felt standing in front of a tree.
