Synopsis

Through changing seasons, Niazul Hassan Khan and Bahaowuddin Qadri are on a journey tracking a mother bear and her cubs, who are navigating through rising temperatures and human population. The film follows them all, softly, as they undergo a fragile negotiation amidst the pristine landscapes of Drass, Ladakh.

As glaciers recede and winters grow shorter, the rhythms that once governed life here are breaking down. The animal has no language we can easily translate, yet communicates its presence with undeniable force. This film does not offer easy resolutions. Instead, it sits with a difficult truth that coexistence is not a static idea, but a constant, evolving negotiation. And in these mountains, where every step is hard-earned, even the possibility of peace feels like something that must be climbed toward carefully and together.
