Synopsis

Shimla’s once-green slopes are turning into a concrete jungle as rapid growth and road construction push the mountains beyond what they can bear. Through stark imagery and haunting sounds, the film is an urgent wake-up call, capturing a city transformed by unchecked development, where every monsoon brings renewed fear and anxiety.

From the filmmaker

Growing up and living in Shimla, the monsoon was always a part of life. We expected heavy rains, but we never expected the level of disaster we see today. In recent years, the seasonal rains have shifted from a natural cycle into a period of fear, bringing devastating landslides and collapsing structures. I felt a deep, personal responsibility to make this film. It is not just a documentary; it is an urgent visual wake-up call.
