Synopsis

Through intimate and diverse anecdotes from the Batammariba tribe, the film showcases their traditional architecture - Takienta, which is a UNESCO Heritage. Takienta has answers to climate change, reflects the relationship of the community to their environment, and platforms how modernity & tradition can sync mutually towards conservation in this ever-changing world.

When ancient sites disappear, we don’t just lose ancient artifacts; we lose the human identity that has been shaped over millennia. Our stories, our songs, our ways of relating to land and each other, are worth fighting for. If we can protect the knowledge, traditions, and places that shaped us, we are not just saving history; we are giving our future a chance. If we can save our past, we can save our future.
