Synopsis

Like a weaver bird gathering twigs for its nest, a Rabha family has built a life around their ancestral home for four generations. Now, red marks signal its erasure for a new highway. As infrastructure closes in, their world of chickens, ducklings, fish and painting faces an uncertain future.

From the filmmaker

This home is the ancestral home of the director. Making this film is the director's way of coping with the loss and transformation of a space he knew like the back of his hand. The impact of this change on his family and the community of the village interests him, and the camera allows him to study and track these changes over a period of time. More than anything, the support of the camera makes it a little bearable to come to terms with one of life's curveballs.
